The Prophet David
Matthew 22:42-43 “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” Acts 1:16 Brothers, it was necessary that this Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was guide to those who took Jesus. [He then quoted Psalm 69:25 and Psalm 109:8] Acts 2:29-31 . . . David . . . being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay. Matthew 21:42 Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’? [Psalm 118:22-23] John 19:28 Jesus, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty.” [Apparently a reference to Psalm 22:15 and Psalm 69:21] (Emphasis mine.)
